What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge After Periods?

Hi! I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and I took Plan B just in case. When I was a day late on my period I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative, and I got my period the following day. However, right after my period ended I had brown spotting/discharge and now I am having light pink/brown spotting. I also started taking birth control right when I got my period so are my hormones just acting crazy and that s why I m getting this weird discharge??

Hello,

The brown colored spotting could be due to Hormonal pill intake.

For that, you need not worry and have to wait for few more days.

If still bleeding ongoing after a few days or more bleeding occurs than pelvic examination and USG should be done for further workup.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
