What Causes Brown Anal Discharge?

Hello, Last year I had surgery for an anal abscess due to a fissure. Before the abscess was discovered I also had botox shots. I went through several doctors that all kept going back and fourth on it being a fissure and a hemorrhoid but finally saw a specialist. Well as you can imagine I am very nervous because I have had what I think is a hemorrhoid for the past 3 weeks come and go. Today I wiped with a hemorrhoid wipe to clean the area (not after a bowel movement) and saw a brown jelly like substance on the wipe. What could be going on?

Hello, I don't think there's a great problem the one day brown jelly like substance on the wipe. Anywhere I'd suggest some sitz baths two times a day with some antiseptic on it i.e clorhexidine. Only if this episode os repeated other times you should reconsult your surgent.
