What Causes Bright Red Vaginal Bleeding While On Nuvaring After An Abortion?

hi ive had a long month.. 2 wensedays ago i had a surgical abortion then that sunday I inserted a nuva ring. I went to the ER tuesday because I was worried about bleeding to much. i had a clean bill of health they said i was either doing to much or I need to remove my nuva ring. As I said on Thursday I removed the ring and alls been just fine til today I had bright red bleeding for about an hour then it tapered back off to lite trickle like it was before.. my question is this just the withdraw blood from removing the nuvaring or is this still something to do with the abortion and need to watch closely

Hello,

There will not be withdrawal bleed after removal of novaring. Your current bleed is in concern with possible retained products after surgical abortion or altered homeostasis of hormones. Immediately consult your OBGYN for best of the therapy approach which can include trenaxemic acid with or without ethamsylate injections or tablets.
