What Causes Bright Red Blood In Stool With Kidney Pain?

Hi, im a 18 year old man, and i had bright red blood mixed in with my stool today along with some kidney pain. I was wondering what could have caused this and also i have had surgery for polyps before when i was in middle school, could it be a reaoccurance?

It could be a polyp or a local pathology like hemorrhoids. Go to a qualified surgeon for digital rectal exam alongwith proctoscopy if required.
