What Causes Breathlessness While Sleeping When Diagnosed With Pleurisy?
Hello, Tuesday I was diagnosed with pleurisy. Tonight while sleeping, I wake up fighting to breath (aside from the pain). It s like I ll stop breathing and then have to take a few short breaths to catch up. Do you have any suggestions on what may be causing this?

With pleurisy one might have underlying lung collapse which can present just like fighting with breath and cough as well. I suggest you to go to your local hospital to see what really is the cause of your shortness of breath.
