My 8 yrs old daughter is complaining that she can t breath through her nose when she lies down. She have to stack 4 pillows and sleeps in a sitting position. Her pediatric is aware of this and she gave my daughter nose spray and oral syrup to take at night. It has been 6 months and she still complains at night. The doctor looked in her nose and saw something look like swelling. She said that when lie down it will bother her breathing. What is the problem and how to fix it? Thanks
Hi , as per your clinical history it appears as your daughter having Adenoid hypertrophy. Investigation needed Xray Nasopharynx Lateral view to see status of adenoid.
Here my suggestion is that you should consult your ENT doctor for thorough examination, necessary investigations and treatment.
If she having so much discomfort , consider adenoid removal. Continue nose spray & oral syrup till removal.
Hope this information helpful to you, take care and have a nice day.
