What Causes Breathing Difficulty While Suffering From Blocked Nose?

Hi doctor My right nose is blocked and i met to doctor Doctor said that my bone is increased and touched with tissue and m facing breathing problem . Breathing from my mouth and its very difficult. Facing headache and tiredness all over..how can this be treated

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of breathing difficulty while suffering from blocked nose which seems to be due to post nasal drip, acid reflux, and bacterial infection. The symptoms can also occur due to allergic conditions like asthma. I would suggest you to avoid eating spicy and heavy food specially at night , take light walk after every meal , take antacid after every meal and eat at least one hour before going to sleep .I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist if he/she find problem to be related with upper respiratory tract infection or sinusitis .Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order x-ray of digestive tract , endoscopy of esophagus and ambulatory acidity test . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers or proton pump inhibitor . Doctor may also refer you to allergy specialist. For now do warm saline gargles and maintain oral hygiene .
