What Causes Breathing Difficulty And Appetite Loss?

My mother is 92 years old with severe dementia. She has atrial fib, 2 leaky heart valves and has been taking bystolic for quite some time. Her blood pressure yesterday was 123 over 49. I am thinking this is not good for her to be taking this drug anymore as she is mostly in bed now and is loosing her appetite. Her breathing seems to be labored at times also. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms are not related to bystolic. She might be having age related cardiac or pulmonary problems. Consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
