What Causes Bowel Movement Upon Eating Food In A Toddler?
Hi. my 3 years old daughter has got typhoid last year oct 2014 and physician suggested injection of rosophin for four days. after exact one year oct 2015 typhoid again reactive and same medication have been used. now I get the completed veccination. she dont eat solid food now. if she does then after half and hour she ran to the bathroom. if she eat two/three times, she passes stole every after each meal. I am giving zincat Od and Increman syrup for iron. Kindly suggest.

As per your query your toddler have symptoms of bowel movement upon eating food which can occur due to many reasons like gastroenteritis, food intolerance, food allergies, irritable bowel syndrome, appendicitis and giardiasis. Need not to worry. For now eat light and non spicy , take antacid after every meal, drink plenty of water and take light walk after every meal. You should take oral rehydrating solution as well. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may order ultrasound , endoscopy or stool test. Doctor may prescribe antacids along with proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole , laxative , ornidazole or albendazole. You should take small and frequent meals and avoid taking large meals at at time.
