What Causes Boils And Swelling In The Groin Area?

I keep getting (I have one now) boils in my inner groin area. I have one now. The swelling is as large as my (large) hand. Very red, but no head , and very painful. I ve tried many things in the past to get them to a head and rupture, but nothing works quickly . A doctor at the clinic I go to prescribed Sulfamethoxazole-TMP DS tablet. I haven t taken it, I m scared of taking extra drugs, as I m already on drugs for my thyroid, congestive heart problem, and assorted other problems. What is the best thing to do to get these groin boils to pop or go away???? They re huge and hurt so badly, especially to walk.

Hello,
Good hygiene and avoidance of moisture is key for prevention.
You need to have antibiotics for treating current boil, either you have whatever you are prescribed or have Cap Augmentin 625 mg three times a day for five days along with tab Pantoprazole 40 mg before breakfast.
You should apply Abzorb powder especially in summer and sweaty days in order to prevent this after this is cured.
Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.
