What Causes Body Tremors While On Vyvanse?

My son is currently taking 60 mg of vyvanse and is experiencing tremors and tics. One of his doctors suggested he might be getting too much dopamine. He might need to stop taking vyvanse. What is the best way to wean off this medication? He has been taking it for over a year.
