What Causes Body Itching While On Ceticit?

Hi dr . I m 26 weeks pregnant I use to use Ceticit before I was pregnant for my itching that started last year where my hole body itches and I can t handle it . I m starting to itch again and the only thing that helped was the allergex .. can you please assist me please

Hi, I think you can use some antihistaminics like cetrizine. It is safe in pregnancy. Just do a liver function test to rule out any liver disorders. It can be due to intra hepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. You can also take ursodeoxycholic acid tablets after discussing with your doctor. Apply calamine lotion on the itchy areas.
