What Causes Body Chills And Poor Appetite?

Last night I experienced chills that got progressively worse so that by 11pm I crawled into bed and covered myself with all our blankets as I could not get warm. In the morning I felt less chills but soreness all over, my appetite was poor, experienced the runs, and had a mild headache. No coughing, no sneezing, no mucus, and no watery eyes.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Very likely you are having a viral infection causing you the chills, the loss of appetite and body sores. You may need to take Ibuprofen 400-600 mg every 6 hours after food to help with the chills and the pain and make sure you do drink plenty of fluids and rest as much as possible.

Normally, you should feel better in 3-4 days. If you notice no improvement during this time or you notice any worsening, you will need a check with your doctor.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
