after complaining of the following symptoms, pain all over, extreme fatigue, extreme insomnia my doctor diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. I m taking Cymbalta which is helping with the pain and somewhat with the fatigue but I am still having debilitating insomnia. My doctor prescribed restoril first and that took 3 to 4 hours before I would fall asleep and then felt groggy and no energy the next day. Next we went to Ambien and it also took 3 to 4 hrs or more to kick in, but not as groggy in the morning. Now we are on Trazodone 50 mg. Took it at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday night and was still awake at 4:15 in the morning. Had to call in sick to work. What medications would you recommend to help me get to sleep quickly? Once I m asleep, I seem to stay asleep but so far I have not been able to induce sleep until 2, 3, or 4 in the morning even when I take the pills at 8:00 or 8:30 p.m. Thank you k
