What Causes Body Ache Along With Chronic Cough And Chest Congestion?
Hello, I am aching all over, may just be flu but had flu shot this season. Horrible cough and very congested chest (hurts). No fever. Chest is very tight, coughing. Its body aches, no particular spot on body. Called doctor who asked me to come in. What do you think?
I would suggest you do warm saline gargles and take steam twice a day. Avoid use of sharp and spicy food substances and cold carbonated beverages. Take diet rich in multivitamins and drink plenty of water to avoid body ache. Start with a proper course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications. Your symptoms will resolve in 1 week.
If symptoms keep on persisting you should consult ENT specialist and take proper treatment. You should get X-ray chest done along with pulmonary function tests and start treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
