What Causes Blurred Vision And Memory Loss In The Elderly?
About 10 years ago my mother started getting blurred vision, describing it as looking through 2 windshields. She has confusion and memory loss. She is still able to live on her own, but is becoming gradually worse. We prepare food and make her coffee as this is too hard for her. She has not had a stroke, but doctors dismiss her saying that maybe its dementia. Really??? But what about the vision? No answers. When this first started she drove herself to the emergency room at least 5 times being sent home without answers. She is no longer able to drive. Just wondering if you have ever had anyone like this. My sister and I are at a loss and really want to help her.
The transient episodes of blurred vision could either be due to transient weakness in eye muscles or neurological problems that are leading to temporary memory loss along with it. You need to evaluate through a physician and a ophthalmologist along with.
