What Causes Blurred Vision After A Cataract Surgery?
Hi, My mother had cataract surgery, the right eye first and the left eye next about 3 weeks ago. She says the images in her left eye are significantly smaller that her right from the first day. The blurry vision has improved, but the images are still smaller. What would cause this? The doctor did the follow up today and told her it was from astigmatism. I understand that would cause blurriness, but not distortion is the size of images. It sounds to me that he implanted the wrong Rx lens. Any ideas what would cause this affect?
Blurred vision is common after cataract surgery due to dilating eye drops. There are remote chances of failed surgery. Her eyesight will be checked and glasses will be given to correct astigmatism.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
