What Causes Bluish Discoloration Of The Lips In An Elderly Person?
My mother (84) has A/F and is on Warfrin and other pills and is quite OK usually, today her lips have gone very blue and as soon as she gets up or moves around her pulse is going up around 90/100 should I call an ambulance ? she has recently had a bad bout of flu and is still coughing but getting better each day
“As” per her clinical history is concerned you should not be worried at all please continue with same medication as before to check her BP & do one ECG if possible, Do a CBC to rule out bacterial infection & anemia and if present then tell your doctor to correct it.
Hope that helps
