What Causes Bloody Discharge From The Urethra With Pain In Kidney Area?

I had a procedure for my kidney today. Alcohol schorosis. Is it normal to have a nagging ache on the kidney and the drainage is bloody? I still have the drainage tube in. I left a message with the office but they never called me back. Thank you for your time.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
On the basis of your history, I assume that you underwent a procedure called nephrostomy.
Nephrostomy is a procedure wherein an opening is made in the kidney via skin route.
The procedure is mainly done for removal of stones from kidney and the procedure is followed by insertion of a tube which drains the fluid and blood from the kidney.
There can be pain in the area of nephrostomy and blood tinged discharge in the tube for few days.
You can take pain killers for pain.
The blood in drain will disappear within few days and if doesn't consult your doctor.
