What Causes Blood Vomit With Ulcers?
My son-in-law has an ulcer and recently he throw up 3 times and there was blood in his vomit. He went to ER but they did not offer him any advice but referred him to his GI doctor. Appointment is next week. Is there anything else he should be doing so that this ulcer can get better.

Hello,
I would advice to take omeprazole orally till you visit your GI doctor which will help in ulcer healing( if the ulcer was the cause of blood in vomiting)
Avoid alcohol and pain killer medications
