What Causes Blood Spot In Eye Along With Swelling And Pain?

yesterday evening I noticed a blood spot in my eye at the end of a vein next to the color area. This morning it was larger. With the blood spot I also have some swelling of the eyeball and some pressure like throbbing. I'm not sure how concerned I should be. My father had glacoma at a very young age.

It appears to be conjuctival haemorhage.This can be due to alergy infestation or hyper tension.So you can start applying cromal eye drop 3 times daily and take levo cetrizine tablet 5mg twice daily.B.P.should be measured and if it is in higher side then further investigation of hyper tensive profile should be done and treatment to control hyper tension should be done along with low salt diet tobe taken and change of life style is a must.With these treatment and precaution it should subside.If not then show it to an eye doctor for examination and advice.One more thing chronic cough and constipation should be treated.
