I have had prostate surgery...Today, I have experienced some blood in the my urine...I do not want to go to the emergency room, if this is something that will go away in a few hours. I am a widower, live alone, and do not want to cause my family any undue stress.. I have heart problems, 79 years old, on cumidin..Thank you!

Hello and welcome to HCM.
It would have been good to know , when you had the prostate surgery.
Also the biopsy report and if you're on an Aspirin / Clopridogel tablets. If you do take Aspirin or Clopidrogel tablets , stop it at once, till well after bleeding stops.Anyway get urine tested for routine and culture to know if there's an infection. If present, get it treated by a doctor and bleeding will stop.Drink 10 glasses liquids daily. If bleeding continues, safest thing to do is see a doctor.
