General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Blood in stool with out no problem in bowel movement, cramping, diarrhea most commonly due to hemorrhoids. It is the blood vessels near your anus that tend to get inflamed and can bleed during a bowel movement.

Other less likely cause like gastroenteritis, inflammatory bowel disease, microscopic colitis. I would suggest to consult primary care physician and undergo rectal examination, stool test, fecal calprotectin test and sigmoidoscopy if needed. Specific treatment will depend on cause. Hemorrhoids is treated initially by Anovate ointment, lignocaine gel. Gastroenteritis require antibiotic course like Ofloxacin + Ornidazole.

Take soft diet with moderate fiber. Take capsule Sporpolac. Drink plenty of lukewarm water. Avoid stress and make sure bowel movement is regular.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
