What Causes Blood In Stool And Urine?

my husband has had what looks like blood in his stools for the last couple of days and today also thinks that his urine is looking very dark with blood in it. He has no pain and no difficulty in passing urine. He did have a slight feeling of 'dizziness' the other day whilst he was out on his round - he is a postman. He is 54 years of age and within normal weight and generally fit.

HI
Well come to HCM
Your query is highly appreciated, it is just a doubt that the stool and urine contained the blood and patient does not have any symptoms, if this the hematuria or the melena then it is the medical emergency and that demands the immediate attention, it may not be the hematuria (urine in blood ) or the melena (Blood stain stool).
Color of stool is depends upon the diet taken, and the dark urine is due to less amount of water intake, still if want to clear the doubt then both urine and stool needs to be sent for lab test, else it is nothing to worry.
Hope this information helps.
