Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

Please do not worry. It is well known that beets can produce a red colour in the stool.

Do not eat anything from beets for several days and see if the red colour goes away. If it dies not, please return to Ask a Doctor right away!

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Arnold Zedd, Pediatrician
