General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Little blood with a cough is not most for the times, if not for long time, its mostly caused by inflammation in the upper airway.

However, in the context of your chronic cough, and sputum, it needs to be evaluated properly to rule out lung problems. So I understand you should see a respiratory doctor for proper assessment and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
