What Causes Blood From Ears?

I just cleaned my ear with a qtip and it was quite thick on one ear and had a bit of blood in it. A very small amount on the tip. There is no injury that I know of inside my ear and my allergies are flared up a bit lately. What would you recommend doing?

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

The bleeding could be due to trauma while cleaning.

Mist of the bleeding ear canal following cleaning will stop on their own. Nothing to worry.

If bleeding persists and you develope any ear block I suggest you to go for Otoscopic examination to rule out ear drum injury.

You will be fine.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help.
Wish you a good health and speedy recovery.
Regards,
