What Causes Blood Clots In The Lungs While On Coumadin?

Hey have been on coumadin now for 4 months after having blood clots bilaterally in both lungs my breasts starting with my left produced quarter-sized lump and tender nipple in the past 3 weeks my right nipple has become tender It Feels Like A Shard of glass wants to come out of the center of it his is one of the side effects of Coumadin

Hello,

Coumadin is a drug that helps prevent clots so it is unlikely the clots you are developed are due to its use. I think you have a hypercoagulability state which means that your blood tends to clot very easily.
You will need to have proper checks to determine the cause of it otherwise you will continue to clot.
You will need a proper breast exam to rule out breast cancer and also a thorough examination to rule out other possible cancers.
