What Causes Blood Clots Coming From Nose After Septoplasty And Ethmoidectomy?

I had septoplasty and ethmoidectomy, etc...3 weeks ago. Dr. put me on 875mg Amoxicillin 3 days ago due to sinus infection already. Today, I have blood clots every time I blow my nose. It looks old.....and gross. No pain. Do you think this is just old stuff from surgery?

ENT Specialist 's  Response

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

It's unlikely to have old clots. It could be fresh bleeding with clots. Evaluate with your surgeon. it could be due to some bleeding disorder or some foreign body or some fresh injury.

Hope, I have answered your query.

Wishing you good health.
