What Causes Blockage In Nose With Greenish Yellow Mucus?
My nose is stuffed but not completely. I blow my nose constantly and mostly greenish-yellowish. I only cough when mucus needs to come out. The colour of the mucus is green. I have also slightly lost my voice but my throat does not hurt at all. I have never had a sickness like this before. I think it might be coming from my chest. What do I have!?
Blockage in the nose with greenish yellow mucus is commonly indicative of cold or sinus infection. You also have voice issues associated with it. Antihistamines and decongestants may help. You are suggested to give voice rest. Gargle your throat with warm salt water 2-3 times a day. Take liquid food or semi-solid food like porridge, custard, oats, etc. You can take steam inhalation twice daily to get rid of stuffy nose. If the discomfort persists it may be bacterial infection and you may need to take a course of antibiotics. Get swab & sputum tests done to stay on the safer side.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
