General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.

Pain in chest can be because of multiple causes. Most common are GERD, acid peptic disease, heart problem, food allergy & muscular problem. In you case as ECG has ruled out heart problem so we will look after other conditions.

> GERD:
In this condition food regurgitates back from stomach into esophagus(food canal) resulting in pain in chest.

> Acid Peptic Disease:
In this condition pain is related to food intake. Sometimes pain occurs after you take food and sometimes if remain hungry. Prolonged fasting may also cause pain.

> Muscular Pain:
It occurs if you lift heavy weight. It results in spasm of the muscle which eventually causes pain. It resolves by rest and taking general care.

> Food Allergy:
In this case there could be a number of symptoms including pain & geeralized itching.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
