What Causes Blisters At The Place Of Tonsils After Tonsillectomy?
I had a tonsillectomy over 3 years ago. I am now presenting wit what feels very similar to the tonsillitis I was plagued with for years, except instead of puss spots on my tonsils, I have what look like blisters where my tonsils used to be. Do I need to go and see a doctor, or should I just ride it out?
As per your complain painful blisters in the area where there were tonsils and also in throat with sore throat can be due to Granular Pharyngitis that can be due to either bacterial or viral infection.. I would suggest you to consult an ENT Expert and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like throat swab culture can help in diagnosis and treated accordingly.. You can be advised a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and along with it do warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and also suck throat lozenges.. You can chew a Vitamin C pellet to boost your immunity and relieve the symptoms faster.. Sip on plenty of warm water and other warm fluids..
Hope this helps..
