What Causes Bleeding From The Ears After Removal Of Ear Wax?

Hi.. I went to the ENT to remove ear wax.. He removed the wax from my left ear and after I got home.. It started bleeding a little.. So I called him up and he told me to put cotton in my ear and said that it was a small skin tear and that it will stop after I change the cotton once or twice.. It s late at the moment and I need some help.. It bleeds little bit.. I am worried.. Can u help? Please.. Thanks.

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

It may be caused by injury of external ear channel or eardrum and in most cases such bleeding stops spontaneously and there is no need for any additional actions. You should not put anything in your ear or wash it. Just do as your ENT said and be patient and it will pass for sure. This is commonly seen after wax removal and nothing strange.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
