What Causes Bleeding During Defecation After Having Hemorroidectomy?
I just had hemorroidectomy and had a bowel movement a week later 1st actual attempt felt pressure and pain just pushed a little and three averaged sized came out and then had atleast 3 bed pans full of blood clots and blood it all came out right after bowel movement in 6 instances and thought I was dying so called ambulance after 2nd instance which I couldn t hold in it just rushed out and gave me cold sweats and fatigue instantly but the rest of the 4 instances in front of medical staff which kept me over night and said I was fine but no GI doctor on staff so who s to really say I m scared I can t get ahold of my Dr who did procedure and lame staff at Kingman hospital people just walk around texting and not helpful and can t do an iv at all my arms are riddled like a junkies and I ve got great veins never had issues

Post hemorrhoidectomy bleed is a common thing. But the amount you are mentioning is some thing that needs attention. While removing Hemorrhoids main vascular pedicles are ligated. the raw surface is left there to heal on itself. Post-operatively we give patient laxatives to keep the stool soft, so to minimize the raw area damage. Syp Lilac is usually prescribed with 10ml before sleep. Along with laxative, sitz bath in pyodine added warm water for 15-20min is also very important. If bleeding persists than digital rectal examination and proctoscopy will be required by the operating team.
