Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Bleeding Bright Red With Clots And Dizziness While Taking Progesterone?
I gave birth 8 weeks ago, normal vaginal birth with no complications. Obviously I bled afterwards, but stopped within 5 weeks or so. I started taking the progesterone pill at 6 weeks, but have started bleeding again. It s not overly heavy, but is bright red with a few clots. I have also had a bit of dizziness. Should I be worried? Or is it something to do with my pill? Or is it my period?
Check once blood tests [HB, blood pressure, CBC]. Pill can result in dysfunctional bleeding blood levels of hormones will tell your response to pill or tells needed medicine. Eat healthy food and antioxidants like amla, aloe vera, basil etc., fruits, juices, and take multivitamins for a week. Importantly, check hemoglobin and BP.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
