I'm 18 years of age and just recently the behind of my ear has been bleeding for no apparent reason. Note: I have had my ears pierced for about 6-7 months now but its not my Piercing that's bleeding it's a flaky-like scab above the piercing I'm really not sure but it does feel flaky. Im also a hardcore gamer I put on a headset on a usual basis to play and I don't know if it could be the back of my earrings scrapping the back of my ear everytime I put on my headset constantly . As I start to scratch the back of my ear , I'm thinking it might just be my ear dry but then after I noticed I was bleeding then it would stop. So I don't know if I should go get checked by a doctor if It doesn't stop or if I should just take a break from using a headset to see if that stops.
well, you have answered your query yourself!! You mus stop the use of headsets and stop scratching the back of your ear, if you dont do so ,it can lead to a chronic non healing ulcer , and may need surgery!! Please dont take this lightly , and avoid head sets ! You should keep the area dry and apply mupirocin ointment over the area 2 times a day for 7-8 days. Take care!
