What Causes Bleeding And Disturbance In Hearing After Cleaning Ear?
This morning I was using a q tip in my ear and long story short it was pushed in way to far. It was painful. A small amount of blood came out onto the q tip. Now that the day is over I feel like I can't hear as well from that ear. It feels kinda like I'm under water. I don't have an insurance of any kind so I was wondering if this is something I need to be seen for? Or if it will heal on its own?
As per your query you have pain, bleeding and hearing loss after cleaning of ear . The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as ruptured eardrum . You must have hit the ear drum with tip and get it injured . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may do an otoscopic exam. Doctor may also test your hearing to determine how much effect the ruptured eardrum has had on your hearing by using tuning fork . There are many treatment options like Patching ,which involves placing a medicated paper patch over the tear in the membrane , a surgical repair of a perforated eardrum is called tympanoplasty or may prescribe antibiotics .
Hope your concern has been resolved. Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
