What Causes Bleeding And Burning During Urination After Button Turp Surgery?

Had plasma button turp 3 weeks ago. After the initial passing of the expected after effects, I began bleeding in various degrees during every urination with burning sensation in urethra for on going 6 consecutive days. Surgeon claims its normal and will eventually stop. It has not. Surgeon continues to say it s normal. UTI test was negative.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If UTI test is negative, residual inflammation at prostate bed or retained clots may be most likely diagnosis. Kindly discuss the need of ultrasound of the pelvis with or without diagnostic cystoscopy to check into the matter precisely during your scheduled visit to urosurgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
