What Causes Bladder Infection With A Normal Ultrasound Scan?
For a year now I have been diagnosed with bladder infections but they continue to persist with no explanation from doctors. I have had ct scans and ultrasound scans and all test come back negative. But once again I feel like I am getting another infection. I have a dull pain in my testicles and a dull pain below my scrotum. I am starting to feel dizzy what should I do?
I have gone through your medical history and understood your concerns.
You are reporting to have persistent urinary tract infection (UTI) although normal ultrasound scanning. Supposing that your age is older than 50 years old, then, prostate problems (enlarged prostate-BPH) should be ruled out as they are often associated with UTI.
Next, genital infection (i.e. urethritis, etc.) should also be ruled out as their clinical presentation is similar to UTI.
Regular follow ups with urologist is needed in order to eradicate infection. You should also: - increase water consumption (keep hydrated to help eradicate infection) - avoid alcohol, tobacco, oily/processed/chilly/spicy foods - get more physically involved - avoid sex until improvement - apply protective measures when having sex
