What Causes Black Diarrhea?

Hello Dr. Rynne, My name is: Truc Nguyen, and can I ask a question about my wife condition, please? She is having a diarrhea since last night and there were black liquid came out (rather than the yellowish or brownish as usual ). Isn t a concern for now? Thank you, Sir.

According to your complain you have problem of black stool that may be because of any internal bleeding in digestive tract..

Some drugs like iron tablate cause black stool problem.
Parasitic infection like giardia cause this type of symptoms.
Stool examination test is helpful to detect any infection present or not..
Colonoscopy can done for further diagnosis..
