What Causes Black Colored Stool?

I spent the morning in the hospital with a lot of pressure in my pelvic area. I had the IUD birth control and when they took an ultrasound they informed me that it wasn t in the correct position so they removed the birth control. they also informed me I had a cyst on my ovary. after they took out the birth control a lot of the pressure went away. I recently just used the bathroom and my stool was black, is this normal?

Hi,

Black stool may be normal one because it could be due to the food eaten in absence of concern symptoms no need to worry about it, if it is the abdomen pain, cramp, nausea, fatigue, with black stool then it is the matter of concern and it may not be normal one, history of IUD and symptoms due to this are not related and black stool is not due to that.

Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
