What Causes Balance Issues And Hearing Loss?

I wear hearing aids in both ears and have 90% loss in both ears because of nerve damage. My balance has become very bad, and wonder if those two problems are somehow related? I am 79, have high blood pressure, heart desease but am doing very well other than those problem but the balance and walking are bad. Thank you
