What Causes Bad Taste In The Mouth After Taking Typhoid Vaccination?

Hi, About a month ago I took a Typhoid and 1st rounds of Hep A and Hep B for an up coming mission trip. About 2 weeks ago, everything that I eat or drink taste nasty. I don t want to eat or drink so that I don t have to taste it. I also went to the ER with an indescribable headache. Are these symptoms for any one of three vaccines? I still have 2 more rounds for the Hep A and Hep B.

Hi,

There is no evidence that doing these vaccines can cause bad taste in mouth. It can most probably be related to poor hygiene of mouth or intake of some drugs like hypertension drugs.

You may need 10 to 14 days for this bad taste to go away after stopping the cause. You should keep a good oral hygiene, washing teeth often and rising them with salt water and baking soda. Use citrus juice often.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
