What Causes Bad Breath And Oral Thrush While Suffering From A UTI?

Good day,I have bad breathe and all doctors I go to they claim I don t.Everytime I speak with people they hold their noses or move away from.i try gargling with warm salt water, hydrogen peroxide, brushing my teeth and tongue, drinking peppermint tea everything, but nothing works.i have been suffering with UTI and I read that it is basically yeast and can affect other parts of the body.i had the thick discharge and an odour down there but I took fluconazole and a 3 day pack for it.Discharge is gone but the odour is still there. In my mouth my tongue is slightly coated and when I do the 10 second test to see if I have B/B I smell something everyone smells it except my doctor.I don t have any white patches in my mouth but could it be possible that I have yeast in my esophagus, which is causing the stench and I also read that yeast in different body parts have different healing times such as vaginal yeast infection takes 7 days whereas yeast in the throat takes 2-3 weeks. What can I do to stop the bad breathe

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Bad breath also known as Halitosis can occur due to a number of causes like poor oral hygiene, oral and dental infections, post nasal drip, sinusitis, acid reflux, respiratory infections, diabetes etc..

Yes, thrush in mouth can be a cause for bad smell from mouth and if your tongue is slightly coated then it needs evaluation..

You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations depending upon suspected cause can help in diagnosis..
The tongue coating should be scraped and viewed under microscope for confirming thrush..
As of now you should start gargling with a flavoured mouthwash twice a day..
You should chew flavoured sugar free chewing gum..
Do warm saline gargles twice a day..
Limit the intake of high aroma foods like onion and garlic..
Drink plenty of water and maintain a good oral hygiene..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
