Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I have noted that you have scoliosis and now shortness of breath. In my opinion this can happen to any scoliotic patient due to structural deformities in spine and thoracic cage (chest wall). I suggest that you undergo an X-ray chest to rule out chest infection. Also, now get into the habit of sleeping in semi sitting position.

Thanks.
