My friends who is about 32 yrs old has been having back pain for a bit, but in the past month her hands and feet and back are swelling. Now she hasn t had a bowel movement in over a week, has taken laxatives and no movement. She is in severe pain at her house and is like a daughter to me, I have known her all her life. She is a cigarette smoker, does not drink, has had a hysterectomy and does not take hormones. Says her stomach is very bloated and someone asked her if she was pregnant. I have made a few suggestions such as a fleet enema and drinking more water, maybe a stool softener, but I am worried about the swelling in her body. Can you give me some of your ideas. I want her to go to the ER I am asking this for her, but I have some very serious questions in regards to my 12 yr old grandson who I am raising. I thought I would see how this works because she is in real distress.
