What Causes Back And Chest Pain With Breathing Difficulties At Night?
I have a question I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with uper front chest pains and upper back pains its hard to breath sometimes. I cant sleep because of it but by morning it goes away this has happen 3 times before. Im not sure if I should be concerned or not I just need some advice. Please help.
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to: 1. Spasm of the chest and back muscles- management will involve application of muscle relaxant gel & intake of analgesic (like Diclofenac) + Pantoprazole preparation.
2. Gastrointestinal cause- due to accumulation of gas and excess acid formation in stomach. Symptomatic relief can be obtained with intake of Proton pump inhibitors like Pantoprazole, which prevent acid formation in stomach (to be taken before meals)+ antacid gel (to be taken after meals).
However, an ECG and chest X ray can be done to rule out any Cardiovascular or Respiratory cause for the symptoms.
So, kindly consult your General Physician and start treatment as advised. There is no need to worry, you will be fine. Take care.
