What Causes Appetite Loss?

Hi I am an 18 year old boy and i am in my second semester of college. Recently have no appetite and I am not sure why. I spend my weekend drinking and i thought that may have something to do with it but it even started before that. I am just not hungry and my stomach will growl but I am just not hungry. Last week i worked out twice a day every day would that have something to do with it?

Hi,

No, the workout cannot cause loss of appetite. It actually increases your appetite. Since you are taking alcohol, this is the most likely cause for your loss of appetite. Alcohol causes gastritis. It also causes calorie deprivation in the body.

So the person who is drinking alcohol gets all calories from alcohol and he does not feel to eat. So better to stop alcohol. Start pantoprazole (antacid). Also, take cyproheptadine syrup, it is appetite stimulant.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
