What Causes Appetite Loss After A Respiratory Tract Infection?

Hi, I ve had decreased appetite for a week or so, following a viral respiratory cold that I ve had a week before. I started eating very little, even skip meals, and generally food smells like the one of meat just make me nauseous. Yesterday, I went to a super duper fancy restaurant for work dinner, I ate there without any appetite and once I got home I threw up everything.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think sometimes overall not well being from a viral infection leads to nausea, loss of appetite. You will gradually get larger over this week. Keep yourself in observation, and if you become worse, there is something else you should be worried about.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
