What Causes Anterior Neck Pain Along With Burning Sensation On The Chest?

Hi I had a positive Discogram on c3/4 injected with 0.1ml and c4/5 with 0.3 ml I m experiencing a lot of anterior neck pain and very swollen nostrils and burning sensation on top of my chest as well as bad occipital migraines. C5/6 was mild and partial positive with 0.5 ml What does this all mean and what can we do about it? Can this related to a fall of my bike? I ve been experiencing this for 5 months now and I m in severe pain. I ve been on opioids and lyrica but it doesn t take the pain away.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM,

As per your query you have anterior neck pain along with burning sensation on the chest . Neck pain can occur due to may reasons like muscle strains , nerve compression , Injuries ,diseases, cervical spondolysis and Certain diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis .

I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper dignosis . Doctor will examine physically , ask you to do certain movements and may order CT scan . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant and may recommed specific exercises . For now do stretching exercises and start physical therapy of neck .

Burning sensation in neck can occur due to acid reflux . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for it . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers or proton pump inhibitor .
